This original late 1940s kimono style jacket is tailored from a rich black, man-made grosgrain fabric which has a lovely texture and sheen. Imbued with a sense of fun, the flared cut swirls around the wearer. The left sleeve is adorned with bold appliqué flowers and foliage in coral pink, yellow and pale grey, finished with vibrant green embroidered vines. It is cut with a wrap-around silhouette which ties at the front, allowing for a flexible fit. We love it worn with black wide-leg trousers or with bare legs if you dare as it is a longer fit.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no issues and very high quality. Made in the USA, it doesn't have a composition or size label so please check the measurements below closely. We have measured as though the garment was being worn but there is some flexibility due to the wrap around style and suggest sizes UK 10-12 or US 6-8.
